Elizabeth, Tampa Bay Farm 2 School Founder/President, loves the challenge of getting start-up projects off the ground; specifically projects that make the world a better place. In 2012 and 2013 she led the build out of two community gardens in Temple Terrace. She launched in 2013 an all-volunteer driven 501c-3 non-profit, Tampa Bay Farm 2 School (TBF2), to support youth gardens. During the seven years of TBF2S’s service to Hillsborough County schools and youth clubs, Elizabeth expanded the organization’s programs, adding to the hands-on gardening experiences plant based cooking called Kids’ Kitchen, and composting. In 2019. Elizabeth started Hillsborough Community Compost Alliance to promote the benefits of composting. She operates the community compost site at Greco Gardens. Elizabeth has lived in Temple Terrace for 25 years with her husband who teaches English and Creative Writing at USF, writes theatre plays and with her son, a King High School graduate and Plant Merchandiser with Costa Farms. Elizabeth is a graduate student in Sustainability at the University of South Florida and has a BA in English and Creative Writing from Eckerd College, St. Petersburg.
